Optimization Models and Methods are intended to improve the way we do things - for example:

- Electric power: improve reliability

- Traffic: reduce congestion

- Packet networks: improve throughput

Such applications draw upon the foundations of optimization theory and algorithms. The MORE Institute is dedicated to research on new concepts, algorithms, and applications of optimization models.

Students and faculty are welcome to contact us for guidance on optimization software and methodology.
