Optimization theory provides a formal basis for decision making
in a variety of applications ranging from engineering design,
process optimization, routing and flow control in networks, to
service oriented applications in finance, healthcare, and
bioinformatics. These multi-disciplinary applications pose
many challenges for research in the thrust areas of the Insititute.
Below
are just a few examples of the applications of optimization
currently being studied by MORE Institute faculty.
