The
MURI research team at the Universities of Arizona, Arizona State, Florida,
Ohio State, and Michigan are pleased to announce that we will be holding
a workshop entitled, "Decision Modeling and Behavior in Uncertain and Complex
Environments." The workshop will take place on February 29 and March 1,
2008, at Four
Points by Sheraton in Tucson, Arizona.
The
purpose of this workshop is to help researchers in the fields of behavioral
and cognitive decision-making, mathematics, economics, and operations research
identify and explore opportunities for conducting interdisciplinary research.
The
long-term goal is to build a body of research that closely examines the
relationship between how people should make decisions, versus how they
actually make decisions. Accordingly, we also encourage the development
of tools that utilize our findings in order to aid allies in developing
better decision-making habits, or strategies that exploit common weaknesses
in human decision-making in order to gain an advantage in game-theoretic
environments. |
