Best Paper Award -- 2005 IIE Annual Conference
Dr. Son's group received the Best Paper Award in the area of Modeling and Simulation at the conference. Modeling and Simulation is one of eight areas in which best-paper awards were given and a total of about 500 papers were presented in all categories at the conference. The paper, "Development and Benchmarking of an Epoch Time Synchronization Method for Distributed Simulation," included six other authors. They are Richard Wysk, a visiting professor from Penn State, and five SIE students: master's students Adityavijay Rathore and Balaji Balaraman, and Ph.D. students Xiaobing Zhao, Seung Hyun Baek, and Jayendran Venkateswaran.
