About Us

The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) is a merger of two former organizations: Operations Research Society of America (ORSA) and the Institute of Management Sciences (TIMS). It is considered the largest professional society of operations research.

Here at the University of Arizona, we hope to involve students in the fields of OR/MS in social and academic activities to bring the UofA OR/MS community together.

The club hopes to bring people in the field of OR/MS around the UofA together. Those who are interested in knowing more about Operations Research/Management Sciences are encouraged to join our activities.

INFORMS SC Tutorial Series

The INFORMS SC Tutorial Series of the fall semester will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, with a tutorial of the AnyLogic simulation suite, presented by Hui Xi. The tutorial will be held in ENGR 301 from 2PM to 3PM.
